Joy Division is accredited as the pioneering force in the post-punk movement of the 1970s. They created a sound that still resonates in music created today. In 1980, the lead singer of Joy Division, Ian Curtis, committed suicide. After Curtis’ tragic death, the band reformed with a new frontman and took on the name New Order. The posters are intended to represent the stark contrast between the two musical groups.
